The Sanders Scholarship, designated for German language study abroad, along with the Lake Fund, which is open to students studying German and Russian, have an application deadline of the Monday following Thanksgiving.

The Heiko Wiggers Fund is intended to support expenses related to internships and language certifications. Applications for this fund are accepted on a rolling basis.

For faculty, there are two separate funds available. The Lake Fund offers funding for professional development, curricular projects, and research initiatives, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Additionally, the Gift Fund is designed to cover expenses and sponsor events organized for students within the department.
